Artists, don’t miss this opportunity for a major public art commission in New York City next summer!

Creative Time has produced hundreds of truly extraordinary public artworks—your bold, maybe even impossible seeming idea could be next.

Over the years, Creative Time has produced hundreds of public projects that have been truly beyond the ordinary, from Kara Walkers’ monumental sugar sphinx installed in the Domino Sugar factory to Pedro Reyes’ house of horrors inspired by the 2016 presidential election and Rasid Johnson’s COVID-era public platform for performance and protest last summer. Just announced, the Creative Time Open Call offers artists the opportunity for a major public artwork commission in New York City, opening the summer of 2023.

Applications are due May 17, 2020 and open to any practicing artist or artist collective, at any point in their career, residing in all 50 states, the sovereign tribal nations within U.S. borders, and territories including American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
