19th Annual Native American Studies Celebration
USC Lancaster’s Native American Studies is hosting its 19th Annual Native American Studies Celebration, held on selected dates beginning Thursday, Nov. 7 and concluding on Saturday, Dec. 7.
This year’s signature event, “Celebrating Native American Music,” celebrates Indigenous music. Events include lectures, musical and dance performances, drumming, and storytelling.

Special Reception for Soul of the South and Celebrating Indigenous Identity and Culture in the Lowcountry
This special reception celebrates the exhibits Soul of the South and Celebrating Indigenous Identity and Culture in the Lowcountry, honoring Lowcountry music traditions, with a special performance at 6 p.m. by Keepers of the Word. Presented in person.

Native American Heritage Day
Join the Center for a day of drumming and demonstrations, with drumming, dancing, and storytelling presented by intertribal drum group WarPaint Singers and pine needle basket demonstrations. Presented in person.

Lunch and Learn: “Native American Musicians: Embracing the Heartbeat of Mother Earth”
Vincent Schilling (Akwesasne Mohawk), Founder and Editor of Native Viewpoint, CEO and President of Schilling Media, Inc., explores the explore the range of musical artists all over Indian Country Presented via Zoom.
Saturday, Dec. 7, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Music and Dance Performances
Waccamaw Indian People guitarists Bob Fuler, Tim Harwell, Harold “Buster” Hatcher, Phil White and friends perform with local artists throughout the day as part of the Center’s 11th Annual Winter Native American Art & Craft Festival. Presented in person.
